Mizuki SANJO Student of Waseda University, Japan Amazing Experiences of My Exchange The exchange programme is one of the most exciting periods of time in my life. I have always been dreaming of going on exchange and I appreciate Endeavour Australia Cheung Kong Awards for its support. I studied at the University of Melbourne and took subjects like media studies, gender studies and cultural studies. All the students I met in these classes were very motivated to study, willing to share their opinions and were kind. Studying in this environment made me realise the essence of learning. In the college I was staying, I and my friends spent a lot of time together and helped each other during the exam period. It was very fun! Apart from studying, I travelled a lot. I have been to Sydney, Canberra, Cairns, Hamilton Island, Gold Coast, Perth, Uluru and Tasmania. Meeting local people and talking with them made me learn more about Aussie people and the country itself. For every place I visited, there was something new and different. To be honest, I was worried about the new life in Australia when I have arrived at the airport. Adaptation to a new environment is always a big challenge. As time passed by, I started to love this place more and did not want to leave at the end. Exploring new environment is exciting and you can gain many things out of it! The exchange programme was truly an impressive opportunity both for my academic and personal experience. I really appreciate Endeavour Australia Cheung Kong Awards for its support. See you again, Australia!
