The two semesters I spent at Korea University in South Korea were extremely memorable and a highlight of my life. I was very fortunate to be given the opportunity to participate in the exchange program. During the course of my exchange Endeavour Australia Cheung Kong Award has contributed financially, and supported my exchange experience to be more enjoyable and fulfilling.

Before making the decision to move abroad, I feared about the cultural clashes and language barriers that I may experience. As my date of departure came closer, there was an increase in my nervousness and anxiety. However, when I think back, I can say it was all worth it! This experience has allowed me to handle the way in which I adapt to new changes and environments.

My time at Korea University has broadened my view on life, I came to understand that there are no limits in what I can achieve and that there is so much more to learn and experience once I venture out of my comfort zone. I have met so many different types of people, made many friends and travelled solo to different places, which I have never thought I'd be able to do unless I had company.

The best thing I have gained from my exchange has been the knowledge from studying courses offered by my host university which are not offered by Macquarie University, the cultural experience and meeting different types of people from all over the world. I am proud to have participated in the exchange program and would like to encourage students to participate in an exchange while studying as it is highly advantageous for personal development and allows one to broaden their view of the world.

I would like to sincerely thank Macquarie University and Korea University for allowing me to participate in the exchange program. As for Endeavour Australia Cheung Kong Award, without their financial support I would not have gained so much from the exchange as it has positively impacted my life and motivated me to achieve much more in life.
