Before my exchange journey, I could only hear about how marvelous learning abroad was from my peers with favorable family backgrounds and support. I could only accept the fate that traveling around the world was a privilege for wealthy people. Once upon a time my confidence used to be very low. All that changed when the Endeavour Australia Cheung Kong Scholarship came to me. Even now, I still can’t believe I was given the chance to study abroad.

My life changed radically for the better after my enriching learning experience in Australia. I met a lot of good friends at my host university. We shared our culture and values, as well as worked together as a team to conduct several research projects for governmental organizations and private companies. All these learning experiences have enriched my life, and now I can now confidently say “I can face every challenge!” I loved Australia, I loved the people there, I loved each moment I spent with the friends I made there, and I loved the joy of finding and knowing more about myself. My life has benefited from this experience in many ways. My exposure to the world, my communication and leadership skills, as well as my mindset, have all changed!

I would like here to thank Mr Li Ka-shing for his scholarship, his contribution has changed my fate and my attitude to the future! I have no reservations in saying that this exchange journey has been the best gift to my life, to my growth and to my confidence. I promise I will do my best to contribute my part to society and help those who suffer from misfortune. I highly recommend this scholarship programme to those who have a passion and ambition to improve themselves, not just academically, but also in every aspect of their development, and widen their knowledge of the world.
